Glenn Dunne is from Dublin. He worked in construction for a number of years in the USA and Australia. During these years of traveling and working Glenn learned everything about building a house, including plumbing, bricklaying, welding, carpentry, and painting and decorating. On his return to Ireland he began a career as a landscape designer and builder. He worked as a foreman for a large building company for many years until he began to feel concerned and sad about the waste being created in his day to day work. It no longer made sense to him to work in this unsustainable way.
In 2014 Glenn started a new business called Eco-bloom Gardens, offering a service in creating beautiful conscious outdoor spaces. He began to take courses in cob building and plastering and helped to build an earthship in Patagonia Argentina. Armed with this knowledge, coupled with his years of conventional building experience and a lot of trial and error, using all sorts of “waste materials ” he has been creating sustainable spaces in an organic and creative flow. It is important to Glenn to respect and be in service to beautiful mother earth.
