Join us for an amazing two weeks of immersion training in permaculture design. Our host, Suryalila Yoga Retreat Center, a world class facility in Andalusia, Spain provides the opportunity to study permaculture in a stunningly beautiful and nurturing setting. THE HOST SITE: Suryalila Retreat Centre
This historic property once was la fabrica, or the olive press and processing center for other crops like wheat. Set in the foothills of the Andalusian mountains near Gracalama, the property has been developed to be a retreat center that caters mostly to Yoga. Its a place with fantastic views, incredible staff, delicious vegetarian food, and an ambiance of evolution. Its rolling denuded and degraded hilled landscape makes it a fabulous spot to utilize the power of permaculture design and the implementation that follows. The founders of this project are very dedicating to reforesting this land and organic food production all the while matching the inner growth with the outer growth. The following Permaculture elements and functions are on display amongst others: eco sauna, straw bale and mud buildings, compost toilets, eco showers feeding banana circles and a grey water system.
